I sit and write this letter.

I sit and write this letter hoping you are well. I Just recieved your letter yesterday and I held it close to my heart. I tried to imagine you writing it and found that very hard. I wonder what adventure you lead yourself on today. Please be safe my darling, I'm counting on you to come home to me. I miss your smile and the sound of your voice and although I love to read your letters, they still don't compare to being able to touch you and hold you in my arms.
My heart is heavy now as I try to remember the last time I held you close to me the night before you left. How I wished I could freeze time and never let you leave. But I am neither a wizard or magician of any sort and alas you left me on that bright sunny morning. I really can't  recall now if it was sunny or not. I couldnt see much through my tears you see. I watched you walk away from me and oh how I tried to be strong for you and happy and so proud. I wished you well along with a half dozen other people all the while my heart was breaking.  I watched long after you had left and tried to understand. I know all about your duty and your honor and your strength. But It does me little good now as all i can do is wait. I pray every day now and I muddle through my days. I will try to be supportive and as strong as I can.  You just make sure to come back to me so I can hold you once again.

WIth Love Always,
Your wife.

This was very real and loving...I have to ask whether it was your imagination or reality...either way, it put in words what many wives, I am sure, are saying across the world...
