Fugitives, felons, and the hunt to capture them! The FBI and it's jurisdictional powers!

The role of a fleeing criminal, especially one that commits a felony, is a long and hard road.  It's a road that invariably leads to capture, and a long stint in prison.

The FBI does not normally seek fugitives, unless they are wanted for serious crimes and present a clear and present danger to the community. The FBI's ten most wanted list is a list that seek the arrest of hard core criminals. To make the list one must be deemed dangerous, as well as a threat to everyone in America.

The FBI will use all of it's resources to track these type of criminals, which is vast. They will check out and cross reference the criminals' family, friends, work habits, relationships, hang out areas, social security information, taxes, telephone habits and anyone or anything connected with the fugitive. They will also utilized "Interpol", a worldwide database consisting of countries across the world, who's sole mission is the apprehension of felons from various countries.

Not many are able to evade the FBI apprehension team. It's an experienced team dedicated to tracking and hunting a fugitive's whereabouts. The federal government will spend millions of dollars to apprehend a dangerous fugitive. They are relentless!

The fugitive will never be able to hold down a legal and well paying job. He will have to seek an " under the radar " job or choose not to work. The FBI is counting on a " slip up "... the fugitives's mistake.

The " Agency ", as it's known in law enforcement communities, also maintains criminal profilers that are dedicated to assessing a criminal's likely new personal information, such as current facial features, places of habitat, and future moves.

Many books have been written by individuals suggesting various ways to avoid apprehension, but none of the manuals written can advise criminals about the unavoidable...mistakes!  As human beings we are imperfect and mistake prone. Not many are able to challenge this fact.

Many people have made reference to my long 22 year run as a fugitive, from 1979-2001. But many of these same people don't quite understand the price I paid.  I lost being with family and friends, my job and children, going to the movies, driving a vehicle, ad many other things common to all citizens. Yes, I paid a hefty price!  This is why today, I encourage all citizens to avoid crime and corruption, and seek to live a life free of crime. Believe me, you don't want the FBI or any law enforcement agencies hunting you for life!
