When someone builds a computer the resulting product is the computer.  If a general gave an order by saying, “You will (do such-n-such)” what is the result of that order/command?  If the one that he said that to is obedient then the results are that he will do (such-n-such). 

In Genesis chapter 1 God spoke, “Let there be. . .” and the result or the fruit of what He said was that what He said came into being.  God commanded, “Let there be light,” (Genesis 1:3) and the result was that there was light.  How many times did God say/command, “Let there be (something)” and the result was what God had commanded?  How many times did God say/command something and it didn’t happen?

Jesus said that wisdom is proven right by her children or by the results it brings.  In Roman 4:17 Paul wrote, “As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.‘  He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.”   That phrase, “In whom he believed,” deserves some explanation because if not explained you might easily miss the intent.  It doesn’t just mean he agreed with God.  Do you believe your dad or mom?  Have you ever, when you were/are a little kid, played dress up and imitated your dad or mom?  According to the dictionary, the word believe means to trust in, rely upon, be confident in, such like that, but it doesn’t use two words that are very significant, those words are obey and imitate.

When someone, anyone, says that they believe something I tend to think, ‘Uh huh, ok now let’s see if they really believe it.’  See, just because someone says they believe something doesn’t mean that they really believe it, they may think that they believe it but it’s just mental assent.  When God told me to write this article I had been wondering for a long time why I didn’t see any results in most denominations.  I would walk up to people and ask them if they truly believed the Bible and they would say, ” I believe the Bible, it’s God’s Word.”  But those were the same people I saw the very next day drinking, smoking and cussing up a blue streak and bragging about having sex with some girl that was not their wife while thinking I didn’t hear.  Yes, it does matter what they say but just because they say the right things doesn’t mean they are honest, what they do and they results they get must line up with what they are saying.  I did say that the results must line up because if the person is speaking right and doing accordingly then the results will come and they will be in line with what he said.

Now, all of this had better line up with what God had already said because if it doesn’t it is not in faith and as Paul said, “But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.”  In other words, if you are saying or doing something that you don’t find backed up by God’s Word, you have doubts, you had better rethink what you are saying or doing. 

Sin also has results, the wages (fruit, what it produces, results) of sin is death, death to a relationships, death to a body part, death to whatever. 

So, if you are saying something and don’t like the results that you are getting, if you are even getting results from what you are saying, you had better rethink what you are saying.  If you believe something and are not getting any results from what you believe, you had better think, ‘Do I really believe that?’  Do you believe God’s Word?  Remember, God doesn’t appreciate His Word being dissected, one part saved and another part thrown away, it’s either all or none.  If you truly believe you will see results here in this life then eternal live in heaven.

I have posted articles about the Holy Spirit baptism (being filled to overflowing with HS) and speaking in unknown tongues on different forums on the Internet and, you wouldn’t believe (or maybe you would), the negative unbelieving comments I got from people who said they believe the whole Bible.  I was talking about something that Jesus, our commander, told us/commanded us to do (by saying, “The believer will. . .”).  And “believing” people who would say that they believe the whole Bible didn’t believe it, they even tried to argue with me.  But wisdom is proven right by it’s results.

Look at a good farmer, one who knows well how to run a farm.  He plants good seed, he takes good care of his cattle, he basically does everything well.  All things being copasetic he will reap good results; his crops should yield a great harvest and his cattle should be healthy and prosperous.  Or look at a dealer in business affairs, weather a business owner or an employee.  If the man does an honest job and is good to his employees, boss, and customers he should have good results.  Or look at a student in school.  If he does his homework and studies and is always on time and finishes his tests on time, doesn’t daydream in class, he should (all things being copasetic) get good grades/results. 

I have always said, and so have others, that if you want friends be friendly.  You will reap what you sow, that’s Biblical.  So, if a man goes out with the intention of being a friend and helping where he can, being a good caring man to those who can’t (do whatever) he will find friendly people who will help him and care for him where and when he can’t (do whatever)/he will reap good results.  Both Christians and non-Christians can act friendly.

It is the same with the Bible and Jesus; if you do accordingly and do what Jesus said you will reap good results, you just have to stick with it.
