This is my most recent article, it’s still a “work-in-progress”, and it hasn’t yet been submitted, however the main story line, is obvious.

A Spending Orgy, of Biblical Proportion

By Robert Amoroso

A day doesn’t go by without another 100-billion dollars being confiscated from the American taxpayer, and there seems to be no end in sight. If anyone has any doubt as to the agenda of this administration, simply take a look at where this $3.6 trillion dollar spending orgy has been earmarked, and you’ll begin to realize that this is no longer a stimulus package that addresses an immediate economic crises but rather an unrestricted spending orgy of pork barrel spending, and the restructuring of government, through intimidation, payoffs, and in some cases forced government intrusion, of biblical proportion.

In less then a month, this administration has changed the tenor and the principles of what our forefathers had envisioned…an open and free society, where individualism and self reliance are a part of the American experience, and the freedom to be successful or for that matter, to fail.

Perhaps I’m a bit squeamish, when I see governments taking control of private industry, and warning CEO’s and businesses to toe-the-line, or else, and set restrictions on what they can or cannot do. Obviously it plays well on TV, and I suspect with most shell-shocked Americans, who’ve been hearing from their president a continues drumbeat of a “dooms day” scenario.

However as I said, I’m a bit squeamish watching this forceful display of government take over of private industries, it reminds me of my immigrant dad escaping to America and telling me stories of another charismatic leader, who was affectionately addressed by his followers as “Il Duce”, “The Leader”…sounds familiar right?

Astoundingly, there’s a substantial segment of the population in this country including the mainstream media that seems oblivious to the parallels of what took place in the early 1900’s in Italy, and what is currently taking place today…the systematic take over of

private industries and the new social order that now seems to have taken hold is worrisome, as is the massive government programs, and the planned redistribution of wealth, that this president is currently engaged in.

Benito Mussolini came to power in the midst of economic turmoil in Italy, and along with other like-minded leaders formed the National Fascist Party. The party grew in popularity among the people, who quickly became disenchanted with the economic chaos that gripped Italy, and Mussolini seemed to be the only leader addressing the crises, and he promised, if elected he would bring economic prosperity and social order back to Italy.

His first act was to end the massive strikes that had gripped the country and nationalized thousands of privately owned businesses and took power of all government entities, and in a short period of time, he was successful in stabilizing the economy.

Let me be clear, Italy had a much different form of government then the United States, and I’m not suggesting that Mussolini and Obama have similar objectives, of world dominance indeed they don’t, however I truly believe that President Obama’s agenda is to transform our government through massive entitlement programs, into a hybrid form socialism, similar to what we see today in Italy, France and Sweden, and to that end I believe he’s willing to gamble with our economy and risk driving us into a deeper recession. Why else would he choose this risky course of stimulating the economy and reject what has worked in the past? It simply doesn’t make economic sense.

Obviously, Obama considers himself a visionary, someone who can change the core principles of America to what he believes it should be, and he has already redefined forever the role of government as a principle driving force within the private sector, by nationalizing to an extent financial institutions and infusing hundreds of billions of dollars to prop up both failing industries and unions across this country.

However, what troubles me most, is the shameless “class warfare” that is currently being waged by this administration against the most productive segment of our society, the entrepreneurs and small business owners across this incredible land. His punitive taxes on wage earners and families with a combined income of $250,000 will inevitably stifle those small business owners that make up roughly 60-80% of this earning group and provide almost 80% of the total jobs created in this country and keep our economy moving.

Of course the “class-warfare” game, pitting one group of Americans against another has been used as a political tool by the left, for generations,  so it comes as no surprise that this administration would engage in this shameless tactic, irregardless of the fact that the top 2-5% of  wage earners pay anywhere from 60-75% of all taxes, in this country.

Astoundingly President Obama and company want to now eliminate many of the mortgage and charitable deductions on those wage earners that he considers to be “wealthy Americans”. What’s even more striking is the harshness in words and deeds coming out of this president, a far cry from candidate Obama’s inspirational “trust me”, message of hope and change.

As an American citizen, I’m personally offended that any president, irregardless of political ideology would single out any one group of citizens and treat them differently, is simply wrong, and speaks volumes of this president.  Yet this administration has no problem in penalizing those hard working American’s, while subsidizing illegal aliens, through massive entitlement programs that have been quietly kept from the American people, and I believe we have a right to know, how many of those 45 million “Americans” currently without healthcare are legal citizens of this country.

Astoundingly this president goes before congress and the nation and with a jaw dropping statement, announces that this massive spending orgy, is free of pork barrel spending, and that he will not raise “one dime” in taxes on 95% of wage earners, and then announces that each working wage earner will get a whopping $13 dollars a week extra in their paychecks…while he quietly scraps the Bush tax cuts, that in actuality averaged $27 dollars a week for every wage earner…way to go “Mr. O”.

Obviously, this president doesn’t consider the roughly 11,000 earmarks within his stimulus package, currently passing through the House and Senate, as pork barrel projects or raising taxes and tariffs on the oil industry, financial industries and the thousands of small business across this nation as a backend form of taxation, that eventually every citizen will pay for, in the form of higher prices for goods and services. Rather then dubbing themselves as the most “Transparent Administration” perhaps a more suitable tag line for this administration should be from that blockbuster movie starring Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason…“The Hustler”.

As I’ve stated in pervious articles President Obama is a crafty and brilliant politician, he knows that the wealthy among us are a small minority, and an excellent group to malign among the general populace, and of course they’re not much of a voting block, and  while he shifts the blame and attacks private industries, (the mortgage lenders, bankers, and Wall Street Executives), he cleverly exempts the very politicians, who have usurped their responsibility in particular governors that have mismanaged the peoples money and have driven their state economies, to the brink of bankruptcy, and government officials that failed in their initial oversight obligations, to safeguard the institutions that they were entrusted to protect.

All one needs to do is take a look at the two most influential states in the union, California and New York, to see how “progressive” governments truly work…and this is the economic template that President Obama envisions for the rest of America.

However, I truly believe, like young adolescents who think they’re invincible, we need to once again learn the hard lessons of the past, before we once again understand the present…that this is not a battle between conservatives and liberals or between Republications and Democrats, but rather between “us” and the “politicians” on both sides of the political aisle, irregardless of ideology that have corrupted the every essence of democracy and what our founding fathers had envisioned, and signed into a declaration of independence…it’s ”we the people” and not a belligerent in-your- face government.

Good morning Edwin, I usually try not to respond after I submit an article; however as to you’re point about President Obama’s supporters. You’re correct the silence is astounding. However, I believe that many people who are not driven by ideology, race, or age, voted for Obama simply based on perception, rather then fact, and they were mesmerized by a truly charismatic and gifted speaker, it’s that simple.

The danger is that most people don’t educate themselves when it comes to politics…most people can tell you the stats of their favorite baseball team, but can’t tell you who their reprehensive is, or their voting record.

If voters would simply look at a candidates voting record, then they can make an informed decision. My sense is that many didn’t, if they did, they would have realized that this man had no experience in governing, and that he had a radical social agenda.

Obama saw an opportunity within this economic crisis, to impose his own social agenda, to change the core principles of this nation, into a hybrid form socialism, and big government entitlements and the redistribution of wealth to that end he was very clear...the American people just weren’t lessening, and thus we have what we have…there’s no one to blame but ourselves.

Spot-On write Robert!! I find it curious that most here who were so outspoken in favor of Obama during the campaign are nowhere to be seen. Buyers Remorse? I also find it curious that those here who do rally behind this federal expansion and spending omnibus are foreigners and American ex-pats living in other countries.

One Bad Ass Move America has a lot of help with the rest of the idiots such as Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Shumer, Dodd and Murtha to name a few. Within only a short time they have shown that the agenda is one of socialism, the rest of the country be damned. Unfortunately, by the time his first term is up, America will be so far in debt it will take a decade to recover. And the ignorant and the uninformed that launched Obama into office still cannot see where he is leading them. How long oh Lord, before their eyes can see?

It's like calling the fire department and telling them you have a small fire in the Kitchen.. Their response... we are going to build a dam and run a pipeline into your lawn. We should be able to get the fire in a year a two at most.
