This test is meant to introduce you to the world of being a feeler, as in someone with an innate ability to sense how people around them are feeling. If you go through this test and experience nothing, then please be supportive of your family, friends and acquantances who will experience something. They are sensitives, or what practitioners in metaphysics categorize as empathic.
You can demonstrate this test at a party once you are proficient at it, but better to start in quiet and comfortable surroundings with friends. Family will likely think you are completely crazy.
You need a minimum of 3 people, a chair or couch (but preferrably a chair), a device for counting down 30 seconds (watch, stop watch, egg timer).
One person will serve as the timekeeper and director, another person will be the projector, and the third will be the feeler.
Timekeeper/Director: Take the projector aside, and tell them once they are comfortable in the chair or the couch --and when told to start-- to think of a moment which made them angry, or sad, or happy, but focus on that one moment (or try to) for 30 seconds.
Timekeeper/Director: Direct Projector to the chair/couch, making sure no other person is around them. A couch will do, but make sure no one is sitting on either side of Projector. You want emotions to come from one person only.
Timekeeper/Director: Set timer to 30 seconds.
Timekeeper/Director: Once Projector is in the chair or couch, ask Feeler to stand in front of Projector. (They can touch toes, but toes touching is like training wheels on a bicycle).
Timekeeper/Director: Tell Feeler to close eyes. Tell Projector to start projecting.
