Each day our view point sets the end result of our lives.

I fell and bruised my knee, I looked at the scratches and there in between broken skin were traces of blood. I thought deeply about this, for often times in order to learn we must encounter some sort of pain or suffering. Why? I asked, but the answer was simple, strength develops on agony’s path. With care I knew, the blood will clot, my wound will begin to heal and my knee will eventually have not a spot or blemish, as though I never fell. Life is like a bruised knee, but with care and a determined mind, strength to face each day will come.

I stood on my balcony to gaze at nature before me; I saw a sunny, blue, clear sky, the branches of trees swaying in the wind and the sweet sound of birds could be heard. I thought to myself in a world as serene as this, why can’t we all take a moment to appreciate it? Sadly, we don’t all get the opportunity to see the beautiful side of things. Though our world is consumed by war and hatred, as individuals we can choose to live at peace and treasure what is given to us. Life is like nature, it survives through love and understanding, believing that each day is a gift.

I hold in my heart that when I step into the world, I step forward because God is with me, he will comfort me and he will bring me rest. I will fear nothing, for whatever the evil forces may bring, my Heavenly Father has a way to conquer them all. I stand with my head held high as I trust that today, can be better than the day before. Life is like a canvas, and what we choose to paint on it defines the outcome of each day.
