Wrestling is the world's oldest sport, as well as one of the most difficult. Here are 5 reasons why every athlete should want to participate.

Until I was 14, the only thing that came to mind when I heard the word wrestling was men in tights jumping off the top rope. But when I started high school, I had to come to terms with not being the world's greatest basketball player. That is when I discovered, and fell in love with, amateur wrestling. I quickly found that this was not a sport for the faint of heart, as it was one of the hardest things I have ever participated in.

There are a multitude of reasons that I think that any athlete should participate in this wonderful sport. Let's start with the top 5.
