get yourself set up to provide what employers need online; at home.

I am 63 and retired because of health problems. That doesn't mean, however, that my mind is broken or that I can't provide good value for payment.

As a writer I have the option to work at home and I decided to expand my abilities and put myself out there as a provider for people wanting good value articles, blogs, books, etc. ghosted for them. I have written under a "house name" for publishing companies. You have to sign a non-disclosure that you won't tell anyone you are only one of several people who write as a "famous writer". What's the difference between that and writing for someone who can't do it themselves? I am past wanting fame. I don't enjoy interviews or having people pry into my life. I don't aspire to be on one of the early morning tv shows or have a featured work on a Lifetime Movie. I just want a little disposable income. It is not easy living on a retirement income the way things are in the world today. I pay so much for health insurance that there is little left over for frivolities. This is a way to get them.

I enjoy freelance work. It gives me the option to chose the things I personally find interesting and pass on the jobs that simply don't do it for me. I agree to do editing, copy editing, proofing sometimes, too, but I really prefer to write articles, blogs, articles or books. This is where I shine and, boy, do I love to do this,

I live in Florida. Most people my age work part time in the health industry or for Disney or one of the other theme parks. I don't really enjoy large groups of people that much. Give me my computer and a topic any day.

I keep telling my friends that they are missing out but they rather moan about how things used to be when they had a little money to throw around. I say, Put Yourself Back to Work.
