Through change you can create the world of your dreams.

"Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can
change the outer aspects of their lives."
William James (1842 - 1910)

I've written about change several times before but only now do I
realize the importance of change in my life. In the past I have
looked at change as a worthy goal and one that is essential to my
personal growth. Now I see change as a necessity in the growth
process and a necessity to my life experience.

"It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that
some people are ready to change and others are not."
James Gordon, M.D.

At first change can be a very frightful thing. So many will shrink
from the challenge of change, however, those who choose to accept the
challenge of change will find it to be one of their greatest friends.
It is through change that you will discover purpose, direction, and
reason for being. It is through change that you will discover your
greatest strengths as well and your greatest weakness. How else can
you explore who you truly are?

"We did not change as we grew older; we just became more clearly
ourselves."
Lynn Hall, Where Have All the Tigers Gone?, 1989

I've found that through change I can become whoever I wish and can
create whatever world I envision. Through change I can turn my dreams
into reality and foster a life path from the choices that encircle
me. I can seek a greater good and ask others to follow my lead. I can
fashion a new world out of the ashes of the old.

"They always say that time changes things, but you actually have to
change them yourself."
Andy Warhol (1928 – 1987

The word change screams loudly at me during this time of crisis in
our country. Must we change our way of life because of the trauma of
the last several months? Must we cower in fear over those changes
that we have little control over or can we create changes in the
things that need to be changed so that we can become a better world?
I believe that through change we will discover who we are as a
people. I believe that through change we will be able to create a
better and more loving world. I believe that through change we will
become the vision of our forefathers.

"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me."
Carol Burnett

What vision do you have of change? Is it a view that causes you to
shrink from view or is it a vision that will cause you to grow into a
new life based upon the values and principles you hold dear? Change
can be your friend if you allow it to become the catalyst for renewal
and rebirth that it can be. Change can overcome obstacles, create the
energy to move forward, and enlist the help of others. Change can
show you a new way of being, a new way of living, and a new dimension
in creativity.

"The universe is change; our life is what our thoughts make it."
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121 AD - 180 AD), Meditations

Allow change to enter your life and to foster within you the makings
of your new vision. Allow it to become the engine that drives you to
become the most you can be. Allow it to show you a pathway to self
fulfillment. Change can become the greatest growth factor of your
life. Embrace the changes you see around you and acknowledge their
potential to move you in the direction of your dreams.

"We must become the change we want to see."
Mahatma Gandhi (1869 – 1948)
