Mrs Mousey Grey Cat has lived with me for 4 years. She had been an outside cat that just showed up at my son's house after she ran away from the people across the street. She is a slim grey cat with no realy identifying marks.
I had just had double breast reductions and come home from the hospital when Mrs Mousey came to visit and never left. She snuck into the house while I was getting upstairs and settled. Then she proceeded to lay down on top of my stomach and NOTHING could move her. She has been my constant companion ever sense.
Last night I had a terrible seizure. I don't have them often but they can be pretty hard to deal with when i do. Even though I was upstairs and had already gotten into bed, my husband soon showed up to help me through it. When it was over he told me that Mrs Mousey came running downstairs, made a lot of noise and then ran back upstairs. She did this twice before he followed me.
She guarded me all night, purring in my ear to keep me calm. Cats are wonderful and they are smart. Some people think they don't do anything but lay around....My 5 year old grandson calls Mrs Mousey our "guard cat" and she does make me feel safe.
