In My Time is an autobiographical narrative of Dick Cheney’s 40 years in politics that covers the conflicts and sacrifices our nation endured during those four decades. How you may feel about the man is illustrated by the statistical breakdown of the reviews on Amazon. The last time I checked, 49.5% of the reviews gave the book the highest possible rating; and 35.5% gave it the lowest possible rating. That doesn’t leave a lot of room in the middle. As his autobiography bears witness, Dick Cheney wasn’t exactly on the sidelines. He speaks throughout with bluntness and honesty and doesn’t hedge on his evaluations of the key people he worked with over the years. They probably have strong opinions about Dick as well, but it is doubtful they would ever underestimate his convictions. And his tenacity and courage in the face of extreme medical adversity are also undeniable. One thing is for certain … the man will be remembered.
