This kind of goes along with my last article and shares how the story ends.

If you read my last article, you saw the dissappointment that we endured from my pardon board hearing, the song I wrote for my daddy and the scripture I claimed for the DA. The pardon board hearing was in 1999 and very shortly after I began to claim that scripture for the DA. Proverbs 21:1 The DA's heart is in the hands of the Lord, like the rivers of water he turns it whithersoever he will. Well in February of 2001 I was due to go up for parole. I had been in prison for 7 years and had done a third of my time which is required by law. My new cousin in-law who had just married into our family just happened to be an Attorney, so my daddy hired him to go with me to the parole board. Of course daddy had filled him in on what had happened at the Pardon board, and how the DA always seemed to be one step ahead of us. My attorney called me and told me that he was going to talk to the DA and see if he was going to try and keep me from getting granted parole. I had been praying this prayer now since my pardon board hearing in 1999. I knew that I had been locked up for 7 years, which is God's perfect number and also his number of completion. I had also asked the Lord earlier kind of in a joking manner, "can you give me some idea when I'm going to get out of this joint." Not realizing I would get an answer so soon, one morning I had a vision of a rap sheet, which is something that shows your date of conviction, good time date etc. Your good time date is a date in which they have to set you free. If you don't make parole then this date is when you will be released. On this rap sheet the good time date showed April 2001. My attorney called me and said my parole hearing had been moved up to March 2001 instead of February.  During the next month I received another call from him and he said that he had talked to the DA. The conversation went something like this: "You know Yvonne is going up for Parole next month don't you?" DA-"yes I know. Attorney: Well do you plan on trying to stop her in any way from being granted parole?" DA: "No, I don't plan on trying to stop her, in fact I think great justice will be done in granting her parole." Attorney: Would you be willing to put that in writing?" DA: Yes I would." March 24th I went before the parole board, and was granted work release. It usually takes a few weeks before they get the paperwork done for you to leave. The last week of April was getting near, actually it was the weekend before the last week of April when I knew that If my vision was correct I should be leaving anyday. That Friday one of the girls who worked in the front office called me outside and told me I was leaving on Monday.  Daddy had finally gotten his miracle, I was coming home. Although I was going to a half-way house, I would be 30 minutes away from him and just 5 months away from being home for good. What a mighty God we serve.
