Creating awareness
A naturally shallow earthquake took place between Pakistan and Iran.
An earthquake is supposed to shake and vibrate the surface of the earth which results from underground movements along a fault line.
It is the focus, the origin of an earthquake which radiates earthquake waves in all directions. The epicentre of the earthquake was between Iran and Pakistan but aftershocks were felt in different countries, cities, etc. It also rapidly affected hilly-regions.
There should be more awareness regarding earthquakes from the media.
We didn't hear the news of the earthquake along the border between Pakistan and Iran because there was so many aftershocks from the two young Muslim killers in Boston and the blast in West, Texas that coincided with the anniversary of the Branch Davidian shootout and fire.
We did hear about an earthquake in China that has killed about 180 so far.
I spent four wonderful days in Karachi one time and got to drive out of the city to a lake about 100 miles north. I really enjoyed my time there with my friends, the food, and the friendly people. I hope your country continues to be that way.
