Death Praise

1 Corinthians 15:55

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The thought is frightening.  Incurable, it has a high mortality rate, it spreads quickly and there is no vaccine to protect against it. It is often fatal and cannot be contained through vaccinations.  There is no antibiotics. It has been able to infect and kill so many people because of its unique makeup. What is it? Death.   Death cannot spread by intimate contact with another person.  It cannot be transmitted through sexual activity.  Death cannot spread through the air.  Though it is carried for many years before any symptoms reveal themselves.  Death as a result of sin brings forth a spiritual death that allows you to no longer be able to fight back effectively.  Sin corrupts and disables your spiritual system that should be guarding against soul. Death is not contagious and has been around since the beginning of time without any visible signs. It invades the lives of all.  Yet, I am not susceptible to death, because I will die in Christ.

   Though death lurks in the shadows of everyday I am alive I cry out with death praise.  Do you hear it?  It sounds like thunder.   Death praise shakes and moves the heart of God that He will speak to the hands of death and say “She shall live and not die!”  The death praise comes forth from my belly when the doctor walks away and condemns me to a death sentence.  Out of my tears rises a death praise that I might live to see my grandchildren children!  

You must rise above the cold hands of the grave with a death praise to live and not die but declare the works of the true and living God!  Move by faith and not by fear of your diagnosis!  Look death in the eye with a death praise!  Declare that you will not move! You will not die but live!  I stood though death crept at my windows looking me in the eyes only to find that faith resides within the walls of my soul it resurrected a death praise. The hope of life that I wanted to see was embrace by a death praise that touches the spirit of Jehovah Rapha.
