Amanda loved horses and she would play with her horsey toys all day long. She had a special wooden rocking horse her dad brought her for her birthday last year, which she placed under a sunny windowsill in her bedroom. She rode her horse every morning before going to school and right after dinner. Amanda loved to swing back and forth and enjoyed the tantalizing thrill.
Amanda's little brother, Larry, would watch her play and wonder why she didn't want to play with him. Perhaps, it's because he's a boy!
Or possibly Amanda for some reason or another didn't like him. Larry was lonely! Amanda was eventually punished for being mean-spirited. And Larry won his first derby race after a year of hard practice.
