Peace in times of fear and misunderstanding

THE CONVERSATION SHOULD BE PEACE

America, this is my literary expression of sadness toward the innocent families victimized by violence. There comes a time in our lives when the strength of our love will be debilitating because of unfortunate tragedies. Just like the beautiful grass we grow in our yard, nature reminds us in certain ways that some weeds are going to distort the beauty of the grass. Since the inception of time, our sacred books explicate that our pain, joy, illness, laughter and anger, will have to be included in our lives to bring balance. And with this balance, we would need to be dependent on one another to help with healing and comfort. This is how our lives are structured; some bad and some misfortune will find a way to impede our peace, our happiness, and the lives of the ones we love. It may be unfair, but something in this world is always putting the goodwill of our hearts to a test, and the more we come together in these trying times, the better we can assist others with their travails. The whirlwind of death has stretched its ugly arms across America, and even as we speak, it is engulfing innocent people without giving them a chance to see how beautiful God can use them to improve this world. In uncivilized times, when humans were not so ingenious, man would settle his disagreements with rocks, clubs and spears. Through the vistas of time, humanity has developed weapons of mass destruction, weapons that will destroy humanity in minutes. If the leaders of the world were committed to the nonproliferation of these weapons, then immoral men who have no respect for human life would not have access to weapons that destroy over religious and cultural differences.
Most importantly, how did we get to this point in our world, where children and innocent people are caught in the crossfire of man’s inhumanity to man? The United States has always been a country founded on discriminatory practices, and today; this country has yet to make provisions to the gun and drug laws that will stop the senseless violence that is destroying our young. The enemy of America is not Islam, but numerous provisions that forbid Christians from being Christ like. Prayers are prohibited in schools for Christians, and now threats from every school are considered terrorism. The conversation is peace, and discriminatory practice is not going to make America safe. America, we have a problem, and we need to understand that an American, whether he lives in a crime-infested city or plays violent video games in the suburbs, is still important to the stability and future of this country. By our prejudice, an African-American child living in a Department of Human Services foster home is beaten and raped, and the political officials of this country, the Republicans and Democrats, are afraid to speak because of contributions. The poor Americans children are being auctioned off like slaves, while corrupt social workers and adoption agencies cry immunity. American focus should be on stabilizing families, because violence is so prevalent in America that children are now deciding that their childish squabbles can be solved with a gun.
In conclusion, hate and empty rhetoric are not working for peace in America communities. America needs its leaders to make Americans feel great about being American. We are different. However, our differences are a celebration for knowledge and understanding of one another.
