Information on the serial killer, Brian Miller.
Brian Miller is a pensioner in his early seventies who, after a gap of forty years, decided to resume his bloodied career as a multiple murderer. When he was a young man, Brian killed four people, but he kept his inner-rage at bay in order to succesfully be a family-man. His murderous dark side finally re-emerges after a disagreement on the local allotments concerning a forthcoming prize marrow competition; Brian quickly finds himself killing again and, not long afterwards, on the wrong side of the local police who are hunting him down.
Brian's murders fall into two distinct categories; the first are revenge killings, and can originate from seemingly trivial circumstances; a postman that whistles too loudly, a perm that has gone badly wrong, a pile of horse manure shoved through a letterbox. The second set of murders are random, often senseless, borne from the dangerous mind of an elderly psychopath.
Like any individual, Brian has to deal with everyday issues and problems that annoy and irritate him; his daughter is going through a messy separation from her husband, his back and knees are playing up, he is suffering from the onset of impotency, and so on. More worryingly, Brian's grandson, Lester, is also displaying homicidal tendencies, leading the grandad to believe that another serial killer is emerging within the family.
Brian Miller is the central figure in the books 'Grandad Miller, Serial Killer' and 'The Return of Grandad Miller, Serial Killer'. A third book, 'The Curse of Grandad Miller, Serial Killer' centres around a mysterious and unnamed impostor that has decided to slip into Brian's murderous slippers...
