The Passion of the Holy Grail...another R...to honor originality
I remember the hoopla surrounding two specific movies concerning Jesus Christ, one by Mel Gibson , the other by Martin Scorsese. I took a look at the one by Scorsese. After sitting through the first roughly 45 minutes I said "uh oh....... I remember wondering about this when I was just a little boy in Sunday school." This was the part where Jesus, portrayed by WillemDafoe was visiting Mary Magdalene at her......place of business (Barbara Hershey). Being from a devoutly Christian family, there are things , I believe every young boy, certainly of my generation, asked himself about The Lord. And this movie was bringing them to the silver screen. Now in order to get the full impact of this particular movie , you have to watch it TO THE VERY LAST SCENE... in many ways like Carrie 1076, only it's not a horror movie. The Davinci code only scratches the surface, what with the Mona Lisa and the stories of the crusades and all.
Dear Lord I hope my old mentor and his wife aren't viewing this from the portals of glory and shaking their heads,
