You can easily continue to do what you have done, as creatures of habit, it's what we are comfortable with or you can chose to look at the same situation with a new set of eyes. It's not easy....It's CHANGE.
Change does not happen in one big swoop overnight. It's a thousand little steps that change your life. If you improved your life by 10% every year, in ten years your old self will be a distant memory.
The beauty of change is like any other goal, once you start and gain momentum, it's difficult to stop. A mind and body in motion is one of potential exponential growth.
Do not allow your limited thinking to stagnate your limitless mind....Make that change..and Keep the change.
When I was about 30, I discovered that it was difficult for me to handle coins anymore. My response to this was to tell the clerks, "Keep the change." It didn't bother me and it sure made those clerks smile. Finally, many years later, when I pulled up to a Burger King counter and ordered a hamburger that came to a $1.16, I tried to give the girl at the counter two dollars, but she only would accept one dollar. I guess she thought I was destitute.
I am a champion of change, but I am also a critical thinker when it comes to change. During my career in higher education I was a change agent for enhancing performance, accountability and user-friendliness for our faculty staff and students. Unfortunately with the changing of each regime came the changing of the guard. Inevitably, they brought with them the latest fad to foist upon the weary. Change just for change's sake is really a waste of time and resources.
