Ten swiftly passing years.

Yes, March 2017 was the tenth year anniversary of when I began to write creatively. I credit Susan DV for urging me to write poetry. But also I wanted to chronicle my memoirs from the medical field and some other funny true stories.

Ten years have seen a lot of personal changes as well. Mostly the first couple years after my divorce. Things settled down and began playing a lot of golf. Working with my then girlfriend at her art gallery is fun. I've met all kinds of interesting people, I've driven a Lamborghini and a Ferrari on a track. I bought a cabin in the mountains of North Georgia that is a very peaceful respite from the city.


I am proud to say the writing saved what was left of my sanity after a nasty divorce. I began to write about feelings and other observations.
I married and am very happy although with 6 brothers and sisters there is always enough drama to fill my need for it. I still play golf and help at my wife's art gallery.

However, most importantly I am also blessed to say I am a three year Pancreatic Cancer survivor.
I thank heaven every day for health and ability to do the things I love like spending time with my children and grandchildren. I wake each day with the expectation of learning something about myself or the world, and the thought meeting interesting people.

I want to especially thank the "old crew" for their support and friendship all the years I have been publishing on Author's Den.
It seems though that writing when times are good is harder than when they are marginal of just plain shitty.
Ten years is a long time, but it doesn't seem like it.
