“If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

JESUS, OUR HELP FOR TODAY

As we travel along on our pilgrimage journey, we are likely to face many trials, tragedies and difficulties of all descriptions. We may find that life’s pathways have become strewn with a variety of hazardous obstacles which serve to blur our vision and obscure our judgement, as we strive to navigate our way safely through the minefield our lives have become. Many times we may feel that we’re fighting the entire battle alone! The good news though is that, “God is for us”, as written in His Holy Word in Romans 8:31

Isn’t it amazing to realize that Almighty God is, “For us”. This means He is on our side. He is our Fierce Protector, our Redeemer and our Champion Warrior, He is our Powerful Defender and the Victorious One. He is with us, ready to fight our cause, when we have no one on earth who will defend our rights. He will never forsake or leave His children in the danger zone, alone, unprotected or undefended. Our Heavenly Father can, at any moment, command thousands upon thousands of angels to fight all our battles for us. How amazing that thought is, and how it gives me great hope to know, that because of God, I can be a victorious over-comer too! Remember this fact: when satan was cast out of Heaven, he took one third of the angels with him, so the good news is, we have the two thirds who remained on our side, along with God’s awesome Power, so nothing or no-one can stand against us!

There is nothing in all of creation that can harm or come against God's elect (all who have accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour). For we are His Royal Priesthood, His Royal Family His Blood-bought Children of Grace, Worshipers in Spirit and Truth, Fellow Heirs with Christ; Believers of Godly Wisdom and Truth, Disciples and Followers of God’s Son Jesus Christ, Who is the Saviour and Healer of the World. What wonderful knowledge to hold onto on those bad days we encounter when life gets so tough. If God is for us, no-one can stand against us! Knowing this, I am filled with the greatest confidence in the One who came to rescue and save us from an eternity in Hell, and brought us into His glorious light so that we can share a glorious eternity with Him. All power honour and glory, forever and ever to our precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
