Never a dull moment where I live.

Hello Everyone,

It feels like it took me forever to get a chance to sit down and write this blog. I suppose it had to wait for what happened at the store.

I'm not going to name the store because I think it's a privately owned one, and if they were to know about instances like this, they wouldn't want there name on it.

It's a gas station, and it's the closest one to where we live. We've frequented it several times a month for five or six years now.

The clerk during the day knows me and has seen me wear my mask every time I go inside. COVID's numbers are rising in our area, and some places still require you to wear one.

After I grabbed the drinks I planned to buy, he told me, "No mask." He's a Middle Eastern guy and I don't think he knows English all that well. Enough to sell people crap I guess.

I said, "What, I can't protect myself?"

He said, "No mask, or you leave store."

I then said, "Fine," and then walked out, but not before telling him to 'F' off.

I don't normally cuss unless I know it's acceptable to you, but this guy. With all the crap that's been going on lately, I'm really surprised I didn't explode and slam the drinks down, or something.

I'm good at containing myself, but I really wanted to do more and thought about it as I went to the other gas station down the street, and guess what? They were wearing masks! Can you believe it?

We need our own series on Ripley's.

Anystage, I also wanted to mention the new accounts that I made. I felt like it was a good idea to have an author account on Twitter, and so there's that... yeah. It definitely feels different there now.

The picture above I took along a bike trail, and is an amazing example of pareidolia.

Also, the Mastodon server on which I have an account was down for quite a while yesterday. I had planned to join another server as a clone account, as sometimes servers go down; all of which are privately funded. It's a bit of a price to pay for being on a decentralized network.

Last, but not least or most, I posted the first chapter of the second meme book on Wattpad and Medium. I was planning to wait for the publishing of the first book, but it's taking longer than expected.
