I rated it 'R' for the violence of which I speak.

Hello Everyone,

Yes, I said it. Uncalm. Totally not a word, but a pun nonetheless. You can always count on me for a pun. A pun is fun when it's rightly done.

So… there needs to be a warning here. There will be talk of violence, and I'm not referring to what's going on in the Gaza Strip. Nope, I'm talking about something that happened right here in our apartment compound, err, I mean, complex.

Firstly, though, I'll mention some good news. The above image won a placement in yesterday's daily challenge at NightCafe. The theme was: Winter Riverscape. I got in the Top 5%, which won me twenty credits. It's the first time I've placed in a challenge.

I also made another image that is up to fourteen likes, and is my most liked creation thus far. Click here to see it.

It didn't quite capture what I wanted, as I wanted the mural to be all over the room, but this one came very close. I've had a couple of other images slowly get to ten likes, but this one shot up to twelve within a few hours.

Now, on to the not-so-good news. Our trip yesterday to get a bail of hay was a failure. The day started off with my stomach issue where I have to go several times within hours and they're all normal movements. During this, I have to deal with a dull, burning pain in my intestines, and I feel very drained.

To make this trip we have to take a bus to get on another bus line where we have to buy another ticket, only, when the machine gave us the option to pay with a card, it wouldn't accept our debit card. The option states, "Pay with card", but it has to be a credit card. I thought that's why debit cards have credit card logos.

There was a Home Depot nearby, but they don't give cash back anymore, and the only ATM they said was nearby was non-existent. We had no choice but to head back home, of which I was grateful.

On the way home, however, we got a text from a neighbor asking if we had heard about the axing in the elevator. We had not, but apparently someone had their arm chopped off in one of our elevators; thankfully, not the one we frequent.
Made me think of a song parody, though:

Axe in an elevator,
Chopping you up when you're going down!

My apologies. My humor can be a bit morbid sometimes. I blame it on having had my finger bitten off by a dog when I was eight.

The last time something like that happened, where someone got stabbed and killed, there was a note on our door and an e-mail in our inbox about it. Nothing about this crime, however. We're so done with this place, but I don't see us having the means to leave any time soon.

Anyspace, I'm still working on part three of, Starbrood. I didn't get very much writing done yesterday. I hope to be able to finish it today, as I do feel better.

Thank you so much for reading. Have a wonderful day….[[|:-)
