A Memorial Day tribute I thought I would post before we all scattered to the beaches and barbecues for the weekend. Have a Safe and Happy Memorial Day... Perhaps it is time that we need to replace the old, auld lang syne, New Year''s anthem in the 21st century. Perhaps not. My 2006 "letter" to Santa. I pray that many others will follow my lead in being certain that the less fortunate are able to enjoy a wonderful Christma... A preacher just got shot here a few weeks before Christmas. It was shocking to hear. Just the other night a police officer was attacked and shot. Seem... It''s popular to have fireworks to celebrate the Christmas season here in Texas.
Although tonight''s fireworks display was cancelled, due to the wind... "...a man I never knew / Who fought in that war and then one more / And boxed and drilled and wrote poetry / Between and afterward fathered me" Little Johnny's just been told there is no such thing as Santa Claus. :( Don't know about around you, but we don't need no crystal ball to look at the pathetic year that's crawling out with a New Year that ain't coming out,... Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Six more weeks of Winter!
