Background Information

  Casey Bell has been performing since the age of twelve. His first role was Doc in West Side Story. Since then he has been in many plays, musicals and dance recitals. Casey has also been involved with gospel and concert choirs. Other than performance Casey has also been involved with the other side of theater. He has been involved with costumes, set construction, set load in, lights, choreography, publicity, directing, props, ushering and writing. Casey enjoys theater as a whole and hopes to continue to be involved with the theater.   Musicals and Plays: West Side Story; Anything Goes (twice); Me and My Girl; Guys and Dolls; Good News; Inspecting Carol; Sorry, Wrong Number; Smokey Joe’s Café; Tuscaloosa’s Calling Me…But I’m Not Going; My Fair Lady; Love Allways; Back To The 80’s…The Totally Awesome Musical   Dance Recitals: Kean Dance Theater 2004, 2005, 2006 Word Up Dance Company Dance Concerts: 2007, 2008   After Casey’s last play he decided to spend more time on writing. Casey’s first short story published The Diary of Stephanie Dane is a story about a girl and her four year career in High School.  In this provocative book, Casey has exposed tough issues. He has given hope to families by revealing that in spite of what a child encounters in school, there is an outlet, a solution to the problem, and in this case it happened to be through keeping a diary. Shelly Ellis   Casey’s first book published was a play. CrazyFun: A Live Sketch Comedy is a book filled with hilarious and laugh out loud skits, sketches, shirt plays and once-acts. The show was first produced in February 2007 and is now available for any producer or director to produce. “I thought it was fun.
