I'm a writer...plain and simple.  I've written everything from screenplays to poetry to books of erotic horror.  But as writers, we all know that's the EASY part.  Selling your work is the true challenge. I find it amazing that I have written material that readers enjoy, but never seem to catch the eye of any agents or publishers, receiving the informal rejection letters that this business is subjective and that I should keep trying.  That being said, I still haven't figured out how "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" ever got published only because it seems that agents and publishers never actually read anything. The other question is...if you keep publishing the same type of stories based upon the same type of fixed formula, doesn't it become boring after a while?  Where's the creativity? Hollywood proves my point.  Can they make any more sequels?  Can they remake any more television shows?  Personally, I'm still waiting for the big-screen debuts of "I  Dream of Jeannie" and "Grizzly Adams" not to mention "Little House on the Prarie" and possibly "The Rockford Files."  Oh yeah, and let's not forget about all the comic book characters.  Let's make 27 more "Batman" movies. Okay...so I'm a bit sarcastic.  But as a writer having a creative mind who can come up with new ideas, it would be nice to have agents and publishers read the entire manuscript before making a judgement call.  Yes, I know it's all about money...that's why I write...I'm looking to become rich too.
