Mary Ann is an actress who began writing Fables and Fairy Tales (for all ages)in the early '70's. Like her father before her, she told them to her two children, Matt and Liza. She taught English and Creative Writing at SMC College, and wrote for The Desert Woman for 15 years. Now she lives in Malibu,CA with her wonderful art dealer husband, Ken, who pops up as a character in every fable, along wit

Information
Both Mom and Dad were storytellers. Mom kept the family history. Dad turned us into broomsticks and hat racks for the sake of a tall tale. I followed his lead. I majored in Humanities at Scripps College in Claremont. Later, I continued in Psychology at Antioch in Venice, CA. Taught English at Santa Monica College, and wrote profiles and reflective essays for "The Desert Woman" a news magazine in the Coachella Valley for 15 years.
I loved "The Little Prince," my favorite growing up, and acting was my living for many years, so story telling was my joy. I always said, "I don't know what I think unless I have a pencil in my hand, and write it down. It was always my way to clarity. Still is.
