For years, friends and family adivsed me to write a book - tell my story. Finally I did forthe purpose of alerting the public to pituitary tumors (Acromegaly, Prolactinoma and Cushing's disease) - diseases which are more common than most doctors say.  Considered a rare disease, however the truth is that they are just rarely diagnosed. The Mayo Clinc performed a study through autopsies which indicated that 22% of the autopsies performed showed that pituitary tumors were present.  Rondo Hatto, a movie star in the 40's, played monster roles and was known as the creeper.  He never wore makeup because Acromegaly, a pituitary tumor, turned his face and body into that of a monster.  Enlarged heart,kidneys, liver, spleen and colon are just a few of the internal problems that can result from this brain tumor.  Psychological problems, depression, mood and behavioral disorders, tunnel vision, hormones on a rampage are often inter-related with pituitary brain tumors. This book, "Blessed   My Battle With Brain Disease"  is an autobiography of my life and the stories of seven other people battling brain tumors.  This book is more than just a medical statement, it also portrays the power of a positive attitude, respect for life and the power of "God in my life".
