I grew up reading Trixie Belden, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, and wrote my first mystery series in fifth grade. I am thrilled to be making a career out of writing mystery novels. My first mystery book Twenty-Five Years Ago Today draws upon my experience in the newspaper industry. Like my protagonist Kris Langley, I once worked as an obit writer and editorial assistant for a daily newspaper.  I was eventually promoted to reporter, and over the years I've written more than 2,000 articles. After years of working as a journalist, I now concentrate on writing novels.

I am a past recipient of the William F. Deeck - Malice Domestic Grant for new mystery writers, and I was a winner of the Avon Flare Young Adult Novel Competition. I have won over a dozen writing awards, including recognition from the New England Press Association, Parenting Publications of America, Suburban Newspapers of America and the Stuttering Foundation of America. I am also a past recipient of the American Cancer Society New England Chapter’s Sword of Hope Media Award. I am also one of the moderators and resident authors at Bestseller Bound, a message board forum that connect small press and indie authors with one another, readers, reviewers and book bloggers.
