About me? Hey, there's really nothing to tell. I'm just an average guy in his fifties. I live in Ohio. I am married, with 3 children - all nearly grown and out of the house. (I can't wait!) My favorite hobbies are listening to modern Jazz (sometimes called contemporary or smooth Jazz), Model Railroading, bowling, and watching science fiction shows -- oh, and writing. I'm not much into sports - but I do get happy when King James and the Cavs are in the winners circle. My favorite sci-fi are old programs like "The Twilight Zone" and "The Outer Limits". My all time favorite sci-fi movies are "War of the Worlds" (with Gene Barry), "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (with Michael Rennie), and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". I also extremely enjoyed all three Schwarzenegger's "Terminator" films - but I was a fan of Schwarzenegger before then because I'm also heavy into action flicks, especially those starring hero-types like Steven Seagal, Jean Claude van Damme, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, and Wesley Snipes. (Uh - well, I guess, like Schwarzenegger, none of these guys do films anymore. Damn, I'm getting old - and so are they!) I am a true Trekkie (into all of them, from "The Original Series" to "Enterprise"). I also loved the "Star Wars" saga. (You wouldn't happen to know what they call Star Wars fans, do you? Is it Warries?) I don't seem to get to read as much now as I did when I was younger, so I'm not completely up on who all the latest top sci-fi authors are. I do have a few favorite former ones, though: Robert Sheckley, Arthur C. Clarke, and Robert Silverberg. Unlike, it seems, everybody else, I'm not much into Fantasy or swords and sorcery type stuff. (Sorry - I didn't go ga-ga over "The Lord Of The Rings".) On occasion I may pick up something that falls into the realm of werewolves and vampires - but not often. (Recently I started a book by Charlaine Harris. Good writer. Hopefully someday I'll finish it.) Vampire movies, on the other hand, are a different thing. I extremely enjoyed the "Blade" trilogy (but I just said I liked Wesley Snipes, didn't I?), and "Underworld" and "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" were pleasures. (I doubt if I'll ever see "Twilight", though - I like my vampires rough and tough.) I realize I'm not a great writer, or a proficient one, but I do enjoy sitting down at the word processor and banging out a few ideas. THE STELLAR just happened to be one that I decided to share.
