I am a North Dakota (rural Midwest USA) native, writer/musician, currently living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. I've also lived for a considerable time in the Pacific Northwest (USA) and briefly in the Southwest (USA). So I suppose restlessness is a part of my nature. I'm never quite at home anywhere in the world. And that is part of why spirituality is the focus of all my writing. My novel manuscript, "Song of George/Portrait of an Unlikely Holy Man" is currently under contract to be published at All Things That Matter Press. I am very happy to be working with this publisher and to be included among their many fine authors. Personally, I have no credentials, other than life itself, which I've noticed, has a certain poetic intensity. Anyway I just love to write, always have. Fortunately I have also begun to have a bit of success with my poetry and short stories realizing acceptance in the magazines and journals.               My wife, Lilasuka (pronounced Leelashooka) and I are part-time performing folk/rock musicians in the greater Pittsburgh and West Virginia Panhandle area. Our band, The Primatives, for which I am the songwriter and guitar player, has two CD's: "The Lovers of Kali Yuga" and "Primitive Spirit". You can check out some of our music at www.myspace/theprimativesrock        I have been a songwriter all my life but I have directed the main focus of my attention to the writing of two novels over the last 5 years.        “Song of George/Portrait of an Unlikely Holy Man”, is about a man with a severe form of mental illness and an addictive personality, who is somehow elevated to a very high spiritual status. He is subsequently saddled with responsibility for the unfortunate souls with which he is mutually incarcerated in the psychiatric unit of a modern Federal Prison.        My first novel, Aadara Mandala (A Circle of Respect), about a multi-faith spiritual community in a fictional Dakotah was accepted for publication by a fledgling publishing company from the UK. We took the process all the way to the signed formal agreement (all editing and artwork prepared, etc.) when the publisher fell seriously ill. My work and, as I understand it, several other people’s works, were left in various stages of the pre-publication process.
