Retired psychotherapist, author, happily married

Background Information

In my professional life as a psychotherapist I have worked with many discordant relationships, but also with serious mental and anxiety problems. The for me most important lesson that I learned during my long professional life is that we are guided by our feelings and not by logic and reason. We can, however, use logic and reason to greatly influence our feelings. By doing so we begin taking control over our life. For most people I have come across happiness is the one goal they want to achieve. But many believe that happiness is something that some people have and others not. Many say if only. For example If only I had more success in my business, I'd be happy. Or If only I find the right romantic relationship, I'd be happy. There are many, many if only. Most of them will never find happines, because they go the wrong way about it. Happiness Discovered / Your Guidebook to Happiness shows you that there is no need for if only. The book very clearly demonstrates that happiness is within our grasp. We can learn how to be happy. This has nothing to do with navel gazing, fairies and angels; the book is about the real world with all the challenges and problems, obstacles and pitfalls. In spite of them all of us can be happy.
