I love writting!  I fell in love with writting late in my adult life accidently when I had the tough task (at the time) to put together a monthly newsletter for my church.  After having to write and put together the newsletter every month, I became hooked.  A few years later, I started writing self help poetry to myself to help me with my weight loss. It worked.  I've been very successful with my weight loss efforts.  The poetry I write is very motivating and helpful in keeping me out of the kitchen and away from the food.   I've been writting in various forms ever since and have been loving it.  Today I actively write something everday.   I am an active member of the sparkpeople.com community  and post to various sites almost daily in addition to maintaining my own blog page.   I consider writing to be a wonderful dose of much needed therapy which has turned my life around.   I currently write short stories for both children and adults, and I continue to write motivational and inspirational poetry.

I consider my biggest achievement in life is that of raising my two daughters to be independent stabled minded adults and now also includes that of being a grandmother as well. Although I have no degrees in jurnalism or awards in writing, I continue to build on my writing experience every day with expressions of peace, hope, and love. My more than 30 years career as a registered nurse has been rewarding, but my new work in writing is just as rewarding and even more so exciting.
