Rev. Barringer was born in Woodbury, New Jersey. He is the third of five siblings. He was greatly influenced by the singing of his parents and siblings as they would all gather in the living room and sing while his mother played the piano. He began playing the guitar and the piano at an early age which led to writing lyrics for his songs which led to writing poems which led to writing short stories which led to his first book "Something Ain't Right" which was published in October 2010. The first printing sold out in 4 days.

Rev Barringer is an ordained Baptist minister. He is also licensed by the National Christian Counselor Association as a licensed clinical Pastoral Counselor and is a NCCA Board Certified Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Temperament Therapist
