Hosking grew up in Hamburg, New York. She received a BS in English Education from Buffalo State College in 1996.
In October 2006 Hosking became the poetry editor of Mom Writer's Literary Magazine (MWLM). In the summer of 2007, MWLM was released as both an online and print magazine. In the Spring of 2010 MWLM will be published as Mamazina.
In 2008 Hosking's creative nonfiction story, "Carousel", was picked to appear in Ideals Mother's day issue - a guidepost publication.
Hosking lives in Arizona with her husband, two girls, and ever growing amount of beasts - two cats, a tortoise, hamster and fish.
