A conspiracy theorist claims the Tucson shootings were a hoax. Shooting victims made the FBI aware of people coming to their homes asking to see the scars. Ed Chiarini created a website stating the shootings were only a drill.
The website, wellaware1.com, explains the Tucson shootings were a drill conducted by the federal government. The victims and shooter, Jared Loughner, are actors playing out their roles. Witnesses at the shootings are offended by Chiarini's audacity.
Mary Reed was shot three times protecting her daughter at the Safeway in Tucson. She went on the news to show the permanent scars on her arms. "I really need them to leave the victims alone," she said.
Chiarini is free to claim the Tucson shootings are a hoax no matter how distasteful others may see it. He believes the funerals for the victims were staged, and the media is aware, playing out its role along with the actors.
The media personnel covering this story were offended by Chiarini's charge. They want the public to know the Tucson shootings are a tragedy, and it was not a drill to test response times for a US born terrorist.
Chiarini said, "I hope that I am wrong but I haven't seen any evidence to suggest this actually happened."
How does he view Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford's injury? Did her team of doctors fake her surgery last week to replace the missing skull fragment? Conspiracy theorists find ways to answer these questions. This is an active drill and the actors involved are playing out their parts.
Unfortunately the victims of the Tucson shootings know how real and terrifying January 8th was. There is nothing we can do to erase their memories of that day. Mary Reed does not know how anyone can be skeptical enough to claim it is all an act.

5. The horror is the fact that people like this author choose to believe what the tv tells her instead of possibly reading a page of two of my site. SHe could easily go the the court and look up the fact that the DA didn't file any lean on Loughner which is required by the Victims compensation act documents. Or she could file a grievance which I did on Loughners lawyer and received no reply which means the lawyer is not real. But if she wants she can look at all the photographic evidence I present and understand it only takes ONE of them to be true to prove the official story is a lie.
