I have been writing for most of my life, from when I was a child of ten learning to write poems. However, it wasn’t until I was in my late forties that I wrote my first book, a history of the Kyogle Shire where I lived in northern New South Wales, Australia. Now, at close to seventy, I have written more than 15 books, and five collections of poetry.

My books can be grouped into five categories:

•  two local histories (from when I lived in Kyogle, northern New South Wales, Australia)
• five books that are reflections on experience
• five collections of poems and accompanying personal stories
• five books on ethics and human values
• four books on my family's history.

I have had many different occupations: high school teacher, manager of organisations in the community services sector, creator of professional development training programs, designer of websites for online learning in the corporate and tertiary education sectors, and university tutor and adult educator.

I also spent about 20 years as a writer and editor for professional publications, on topics ranging from human resource management, employment law, training and professional development, to leadership and business ethics.
