After being told by my college professor, "some people are writers and some are not and you are not a writer," I didn't pick up a pen for fifteen years. Then, a major life discovery made me realize that I had to write and the negative voice of my professor grew dim. I picked up a pen and my first book, a ground-breaking one was published by Doubleday, a major publishing house. Married Women Who Love Women touched the hearts of many women making their own same-gender discoveries. It also helped others understand this new demension to their wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends. The second edition was published by Routledge. I learned a tremendous amount about writing, publishing, and marketing with my first book and I was invited to do a workshop for the International Women's Writing Guild. The success of this workshop led me to write A Writer's Journey: What to Know Before, During, and After Writing a Book. This is the book I wish I had when I began my writing career.
