I am Vietnam veteran and a former Army officer. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science Degree in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University. I was awarded the title of distinguished alumni at both schools. I completed my second novel, A Long Way Back about the Vietnam war in 2015. Something About Ann , a novella with eleven interconnected short stories, was published November 2017.

"Snake Walkers" placed first for fiction in four literary contests and was honored by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association. It also won the Bronze award in the Fiction-General category of ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Awards and received five-star ratings on both Amazon and Barnes and Nobels websites.
In addition to receiving the Literary Classics Seal of Approval, the novel "A Long Way Back," is a finalist for the Montaigne Medal Award. "These are books that either illuminate, progress, or redirect thought. The Montaigne Medal is given in honor of the great French philosopher Michel de Montaigne, who influenced people such as William Shakespeare, René Descartes, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Eric Hoffer."
