Information
Alice Rene became a serious writer after her son interviewed her about surviving the Holocaust in Vienna which resulted in her award-winning memoir, Becoming Alice. Since then she has written a historic suspense, award-winning novel, The Other Side of Him, which was inspired by true events. It is the story of an ambitious young woman who dates a doctor, only to learn that he is seriously flawed. When she tries to stop seeing him, he becomes her stalker. Set in the fifties, a time before any institutions were in place to help victims of domestic violence, she must find her own dramatic way of protecting herself.
Currently Alice is working on her next book, a historical fiction novel that takes place at the turn of the century in the Ukraine.
