I'm a lifelong Southern girl who lives in Mobile, Alabama with my family. I'm a home improvement enthusiast and an avid reader with a bucket list that includes visiting Australia, running a marathon and trying every kind of margarita ever made.


Background Information

I'm a lawyer. But don't get the allergy meds out just yet. I've been writing contracts and legal briefs for years. I looked up one day and realized that, as writing goes, a 20 page asset purchase agreement is about as boring as it gets. I've always loved to read...I can get lost in a good book for days (Stephen King is one of my favorites, but let's face it, Duma Key and Under the Dome are not designed to be read in a day!). So anyway, like many lawyers I know, I began to think "I like to read good books. And I know I can write. I should write a book. Something fun." The problem is it isn't as easy as it seems like it would be. Anyone that has ever sat down at page 1, with only 300 or so to go, knows what I'm talking about. All of those unwritten pages are intimidating. What I learned is that writing is a process. It takes thought, time, writing, rewriting, editing, more rewriting, perspective adjustments, and even more rewriting. By the time I my first book was done, I felt like I had given birth. I have written two more books and a short story since then, and I can't really say it's any easier. But I love it. I love telling stories about people that
