Kimberly Coghlan lives in Mississippi with her husband and two dogs. She is very passionate about defending civil rights and hopes to play a part in restructuring Mississippi's image. Kimberly has an MA in English from Mississippi State University, and she started her career as a high school English teacher. "Teaching is such a difficult job," she relates. "I have so much respect for teachers. Teachers are educators, counselors, and bookkeepers. I learned so much as a teacher." Kimberly now owns Coghlan Professional Writing Services and still teaches some college writing courses. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys weightlifting and cooking. Her greatest hobby, however, is spending time with her family. "Live each day as if it's the last. Savor each moment you have with the ones you love," she advises. The Next Genesis is Kimberly's first novel, but she is currently working on other projects.
