I have been writing short stories and poems as a hobby for most of my life but have never made any attempts to publish any until now. I am a native of Oregon and have lived the last 27 years in South East Asia, primarily Cambodia. I am also the founder and creator of the Cambodian Razorback Dog, a special breed of dog I am developing to be the National Breed of Cambodia.  I am currently working on a book about the breed.   My influences are varied, including but not limited to Ernest Hemingway, Roald Dahl, O. Henry, John Steinbeck, Franz Kafka, JD Salinger, Charles Bukowski, Jack London, George Orwell and Kurt Vonnegut. I have a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature so I must also mention authors such as Cao Xueqin, Lu Xun, Yan Fu, Lin Shu and Mao Dun.
