Retired since 2007, I taught English in New Jersey middle schools and colleges. I hold a B.A. in Communication Arts from Seton Hall University and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Rutgers Graduate School of Management. I have been writing poetry and prose since 1957, the same year I began seeing my writings published here and abroad. My work has appeared in such publications as The New York News, The New York Times, The Writer, Writer's Digest, Cats Magazine, U.S.A. Today, The Christian Science Monitor, etc. My early influences that led me to wanting to write were Dostoievski, Frost, Vallejo, Spillane, Oursler, and quite a few others. Books of mine include A Family of Sicilians, Two Can Play This Game, Promising the Moon, Flashing My Shorts, 200 Shorts, If Roosters Don't Crow, It Is Still Morning: Haiku and Other Poems (scheduled for Christmas Day, 2011, release: Cyber-wit Publications). I live in West Virginia with my wife Sharon.
