Information
My favorite toy as a child was paper and pencil and coloring books. I have journaled for many years now. A major influence in this was reading Julia Cameron's "Artist Way." Also my Master's Degree at Rio Grande required a journal be kept. The journals had to be full of color, photos and smells! I was editor, for a time , of the Double R Bar News. A publication for actor Roy Rogers which had a world wide readership. The poetry and desire to do collages, paint and other creative ventures came from the death of my oldest son, Jim and later through the death of my second born Tom. Mourning triggered my creativity. I was allowed to air it through Phoneix Writers and a local newspaper that published local poetry. I use my creativity and use of color to reach students I tutor and help them find their learning spot.
