Being an "environmental watchdog" has been a 30-year commitment for him, and he served as an official intervenor against the Sable Offshore Energy Project. He brought along four students who had intervenor status, and they too presented evidence against that project. "I've also taken people up to Murmansk, Russia where we had an environmental conference," he says. "The students found that there were over 60 nuclear reactors that had been dumped off the Bering Sea coast, along with the dumping of nuclear waste by the northern fleet." Well-placed concern about the size of our carbon footprint carries Fred Hall forward with powerful motivation, and he's equally committed to helping others understand the ongoing need for that concern. Also , a grerat place for Team Leaders to come down a day before there team arrives and plan workshops . The retreat is set up for just this kind of an event . A great place to bring your team down for the day. Two rooms are available for team leaders. Catering can be provided if requested .
While writing demands solitude and focus, that need not mean isolation and deprivation. Our sole purpose is to provide an ambience conducive to creativity.

We are mindful that intense work demands interlude.. Nature in abundance is just outside your door, quaint villages and diversions abound in every direction.

I like to paint , write ,cook , and dance . I am also a professional magician on the side. I have a passion for the environment and believe that we are here for a short time and not a long time so it is our responsibility to leave this planet better than we found it along with having a good time . My trip to Murmansk ,Russia and seeing the environmental degradation there really reeinforced my committemnt to taking action . I have been actively involved in shutting down Ogden and Martins bid to have an incinerator located near a high school in Bedofrd ,Nova Scotia along with being a participant in the Sable Offshore hearings and presenting a 200 page report on the impact of Global Warming . This report can now be found at Saint Marys University library . I have also written for the Daily News - mainly on issues dealing with bad development .
