I have spent the majority of my life in the Chicagoland region.  Have worked in a variety of occupations, and upon reaching the age where traditional employment is harder to come by chose to reinvent myself as an author.  Have self-published three books, the latest of which is Judas Times Seven, which I am hoping will be my breakthrough.  It is a story of greed, betrayal and jealousy set in the modern workplace where office politics and political correctness trump reason; where petty jealousies can and often do lead to real-world consequences.  Bruce is happy to take a job as a data entry operator at a bank processing facility following a period of disability.  Over time he becomes attracted to Janice, a moody sort of person who is his lead person on the job and the story's female lead.  Although he senses that she many have a crush on him, not everything is likely to proceed smoothly on the job.  Rumors begin to circulate behind the scenes, and once Bruce feels it's safe to come clean about the attraction, everything crashes as a cadre of seven people work behind the scenes to plot his ouster.  The mounting pressure calls for prompt attention to defuse any pleasant situations involving the two, at least in their eyes.  That way they felt they could prevent a potential problem from developing, but more was made of it than ever really happened.  A must-read for those concerned with restoring a sense of fairness to the workplace, where the concept of innocent until proven guilty does not apply.
