I was a journalist for 12 years, when people still read daily newspapers. Later, I went corporate, but never lost the love of words. I remain an avid reader and writer. In recent years, my writing has been only for myself. This book - Ride It Like A Lady: Letters to Emi - was written only for my just born niece, Emi. I couldn't have written it so personally, so honestly, if I'd considered what other people would think of it. It is meant for her. Shortly before she was born, I began writing to her. I wanted her to know me and the lessons I would give my own daughter, if I had one. And I wanted to do this before she became ... herself. Before she thought something she did or said might influence my advice. The only things influencing my thoughts were my deep love for the girl about to join our family, my concerns regarding the things I know she will face in coming decades, and the fact I might not be there to share my wisdom with her in person, as I've lived outside the US for a long time.  

Lived and worked all over the world, regularly manage millions of dollars, and have fallen terribly in love more than once.
