I've been a voracious reader all my life and expect that to continue until I pass on or my mind goes, whichever comes first. My life has been full of change: trying new things and occupations, traveling to and living in different places, and lifelong learning. My educational background includes majoring in Physics at Ohio University, although I dropped out after only 1.5 years. Ten years later I returned to college, but enrolled at the University of Akron where I finally earned an M.A. in Experimental/Developmental Psychology. Among the places where I've lived are Miami, FL, Nashville, TN, Salt Lake City, Utah, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO (where I was in the Women's Army Corps), Ft. Slocum, NY, Asheville and Brevard, NC, as well as a few others hardly worth mentioning.
My favorite occupation has been college-level teaching, which I encountered purely through accident at Brevard College. I taught Child Development, Adolescent Development, Intro. to Psychology, and a student success course.
So I have a wealth of life experiences to draw upon for my fiction writing.
I presently live a quiet life in SW VA with my two cats, Maggie and Mingo, where I continue to write and to assist other aspiring writers as best I can.
