Information
Patrick John Rose was born on board his father's (Captain John Wesley Rose of ship, the Marguerite, off the coast of New York on January 29, 1872. Patrick claimed to have sailed for more than 30 years (also as a Captain) and professed to be a sailor, prospector, miner, cowpoke, and oil worker. He published one book ("Bitter River Ranch" in 1936 through Phoenix Press) during his lifetime and wrote many others as well as painted numerous illustrations for his manuscripts, many of schooners; one of which purportedly hung in the White House. In addition to Hastings, his books are available in print through Amazon.com and digital download through Amazon.com for Kindle as well as Apple, Barnes & Noble, Nook, and most eReader applications.
